Angela Hugghins has always been destined for the skincare world. Even as a child, she was creating DIY face masks and offering (mostly made-up) beauty tips to her grandfathers while sprucing up their nails and hair. That early passion for beauty and connection grew into a 25-year career as a licensed esthetician, helping thousands of clients address their unique skin concerns.
Angela’s personal struggle with cystic acne as a teen fueled her fascination with the chemistry of skincare and the emotional toll of skin issues. She dedicated herself to cutting through the noise and hype of the beauty industry to create products that are straightforward, effective, and empowering.
After 15 years in local salons, Angela opened her own studio, Monarch Brow + Facial Studio, in Carrboro, North Carolina, where she gained a deeper understanding of what her clients truly need: simple, intentional products that work. This led her to create Cult of Reason, a clean, gender-affirmative skincare line designed to simplify routines without sacrificing results.
Angela’s approach combines science-backed formulations with high-quality, cruelty-free, and sustainable ingredients. She partners with trusted suppliers to craft a streamlined product line that respects your time, your values, and your skin’s natural rhythms.
Cult of Reason reflects Angela’s belief that skincare should be more than a routine – it should be a grounding moment of clarity that helps you feel confident in your own skin. With transparency and care at its core, Cult of Reason invites you to embrace pragmatic beauty that truly delivers.
Clean. Simple. Effective. Because loving your skin should be easy.
